Emily Crisano has always had a passion for medicine and advocacy. As a clinical pharmacist at Navion, she’s seen the true impact cost-saving, clinically identical alternatives have on payers—and patients. New drugs come to market every single day. Emily studies these drugs, their efficacy and their cost to help clients understand which to embrace and which require further clinical studies.
By analyzing new drug alternatives and utilization trends—and has experience leading and collaborating with a pharmacy-and-therapeutics (P&T) committee across multiple specialties—Emily gets a holistic view of drug performance and outcomes. In that capacity, she monitors the new drug pipeline across brand and generic drug launches and evaluates new medication releases with the largest projected market impact. Emily’s work allows Navion to make meticulously informed recommendations to its clients. She looks forward to continuing her work in the pharmacy cost-savings sector—and making lifesaving medications more affordable and accessible for members and groups.
